Hi my name is Lillian Young and I am the owner and photographer of
Photographed Memories.

I was born and raised in Bronx New York and relocated with my family to Pine Bush New York when I was 15. Being from the city, and moving to the country as a teenager, was such a huge culture change. I hated it at first, but now and very grateful to my parents that they moved us here because this is a great place to raise my three children.

Photography is my passion. I have been photographing ever since I can remember. I always had a camera in my hand, back when it used to be film! I got more serious in taking photos for over 10 years now and got more interested in it once my oldest son was born. I always took my children to get photos done at the chain store photographers, but couldn't help but feel rushed through the session and I never got the image I wanted. It felt as if I was pressured into just buying any photo, even though it wasn't exactly what I wanted.

With this in mind, I decided that I had to take things into my own hands and vowed that I would never take my children to get their photos done by any one else but myself. This is when I decided to get into the buisness. I want people to feel as if they are sitting right in their own home during their session and be just as comfortable in my home. I firmly believe that a photography session should be comfortable, fun and unique and never ever rushed! This is why I decided to offer this experience to all my customers. I love working with people and see them delight in the pictures of themselves that I took and it makes my job so worth it.

My influences include modern art, retro, pinup, and original child portraits. I utilize both flash photography as well as natural lighting when working.

I specialize in excellent client service,candid and posed wedding photography and digital imaging. I use all professional equipment when working. I work out of my home studio as well as on location.
